SkillVault · AI Agent Skills
Your AI skills, anywhere, any time, on any device.
SkillVault is cloud storage for AI agent skills. Register a
skill once, reach it through three surfaces: an authenticated
vault URL that you can give to ANY AI chatbot on any device,
a JSON REST API/MCP for your paid ChatGPT/Claude/Perplexity
connectors, and a CLI wrapper that drops into Claude Code,
Cursor, Windsurf, Aider, Codex, or any harness. Your skills,
usable by any AI, from anywhere.

DEFINITION
What SkillVault is, in one paragraph
SkillVault is a vault in the cloud, accessible by any
AI agent you choose. You register a skill - a name,
a description, a Markdown body of instructions, a set of
scripts the skill triggers - and SkillVault serves that body
to any AI that authenticates with your vault token. The same
library shows up on Claude on the web, in Claude Code on
your laptop, in ChatGPT via MCP connector, and in Cursor.
You write the skill once. Every agent reads the current
version.
THREE DIFFERENT WAYS TO ACCESS
Pick the way that fits the AI in front of you.
01
Authenticated Vault URL
One URL, sealed by a token. Paste it into any AI that fetches the web - phone, web chat, screenshot - and it sees the same library.
https://app.skillvault.dev/v/<you>/
02
JSON REST API / MCP
For AI apps with a connector or action config - ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Gemini, Perplexity. Configure once; the AI calls it during conversations. Same URL, same token - REST for automations and scripts, MCP for live connectors.
GET /api/v1/skills
03
CLI Wrapper Skill
For AI harnesses that read skills from a local folder - Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Aider, Codex, and ten more.

HOW IT WORKS
Register. Issue. Use.
-
REGISTER
Register a skill
Add a name, a one-line description, and a body - the instructions an agent should follow. If your skill runs scripts or program files, just ask your agent to install the skill for you.
-
ISSUE
Issue the URL
Your vault is reachable at /v/<you>/. For paid ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Gemini, and Perplexity, register the same URL as an MCP connector; the connector serves the same skills over JSON. The token is bound to your vault; rotate it any time from the dashboard.
-
USE
Agents read the vault
Paste the URL into any AI. The wrapper CLI writes a single-skill fetch into your local skills folder. Either way, the same library shows up.
WHY A VAULT
Why a vault?
AI Agent skills are some of the most popular and helpful
files and scripts used today. But, it can be frustrating
when you have a skill critical to your process that ONLY
EXISTS on your laptop, or at work, or within your browser
instance.
We know that pain all too well and that is why we created
SkillVault. With SkillVault, your skills are interoperable
across platforms and devices.
After all, a Skill isn't just another file. It's a CAPABILITY
specific to you. It should be available for use across all
instances where you access AI.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
Questions people ask before signing up
- What is SkillVault?
- SkillVault is a vault in the cloud for your AI skills. You register a skill - a name, a description, a Markdown body of instructions, and any scripts the skill needs - and SkillVault stores it. When any AI you choose asks for it, SkillVault serves the current version. The same skill shows up on Claude on the web, in Claude Code on your laptop, in ChatGPT via MCP, and in Cursor.
- Do my skills include scripts?
- Yes. A skill can be a Markdown body of instructions, a set of scripts the skill triggers, or both. SkillVault stores the files; when an AI agent reads the skill, it follows the instructions and mimics the scripts inline in its own environment, whatever the device.
- How is this different from a prompt library?
- A prompt library is a static document you copy and paste. SkillVault is a live endpoint. Every fetch returns your current version of a skill, not a stale copy. The token that protects your vault is separate from your account password, so you can rotate it at any time without touching your sign-in.
- Which AI assistants can read from a SkillVault?
- Any AI that can fetch a URL or be configured with a custom integration. Claude.ai with web browsing, ChatGPT with Browse, Gemini, Perplexity, and the mobile apps for all of them accept the vault URL directly. Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Aider, Codex, and Cline each get a single-skill fetch written into their local skills folder by the SkillVault CLI. ChatGPT Custom GPTs, Claude.ai custom integrations, and Gemini extensions call the JSON REST API or MCP.
- What's the difference between the JSON REST API and MCP?
- Same data, different transport. The JSON REST API is a regular HTTP endpoint you hit with a bearer token - useful for automations, scripts, and any tool that speaks HTTP. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a connector that AI apps register once and then call during a conversation when the AI decides it needs a skill. Both use the same URL and the same vault token, so SkillVault treats them as one surface.
- Is my skill content private?
- Yes. Vaults are private by default. Each vault is sealed by a unique token; without it, the URL returns 401. We do not index your skill content, we do not share it with other users, and we do not use it to train any model. The full data-handling policy is at /privacy-policy.
- Can I share my vault with my team?
- Power tier supports delegated tokens per device so each team member has their own credential. Enterprise tier adds shared team vaults with role-based access, SSO, and audit log export. Use the contact form on /contact to ask about the Enterprise plan.
- How much does SkillVault cost?
- Free tier offers 3 skills stored in the vault. Pro is €6.95/month for 50 skills and 1 GB. Power is €18.95/month for unlimited skills, 10 GB, and priority routing. Enterprise is on contact. All three live tiers include all three surfaces - URL, JSON/MCP, and CLI.
- What happens to my data if I cancel?
- You keep your paid tier until the end of the period you've already paid for. When that period ends, your subscription moves to the free tier and a 30-day grace clock starts. During those 30 days your vault stays readable so you can export or re-subscribe, but new uploads are blocked by the free-tier cap (3 skills, 100 MB). After 30 days with no action, your vault data is permanently deleted. You can also delete your account from the dashboard at any time for immediate, irreversible removal of all your data.
